THIS JAW PAIN IS RIDICULOUS...
Why does my Jaw Hurt? The Pain comes and goes but is bad enough that I am uncomfortable... |
Jaw pain may be confusing as to where it comes from and why it is there. Most people, including dentists believe Jaw Pain comes from the Jaw.
In my experience...that is so far from the truth that no wonder so many are confused. Impact or injury to the Jaw can of course create problems. But, for those who have Jaw Pain whose onset is insidious....the pain is probably caused from a mechanical standpoint.
The Spine. Why? Scoliosis. The curvature creates structural imbalances that create mechanical stress. This mechanical stress is manifested in specific areas...the Jaw being one of them. The following are laws concerning metal. It talks about terms concerning stress and strain. These are similar to how our physiology reacts to stress and strain.
StressThe term stress (s) is used to express the loading in terms of force applied to a certain cross-sectional area of an object. From the perspective of loading, stress is the applied force or system of forces that tends to deform a body.
From the perspective of what is happening within a material, stress is the internal distribution of forces within a body that balance and react to the loads applied to it. The stress distribution may or may not be uniform, depending on the nature of the loading condition.
Strain Strain is the response of a system to an applied stress. When a material is loaded with a force, it produces a stress, which then causes a material to deform. Engineering strain is defined as the amount of deformation in the direction of the applied force divided by the initial length of the material.https://www.nde-ed.org/EducationResources/CommunityCollege/Materials/Mechanical/StressStrain.htm
The TMJ joint is a complicated joint to treat. Chiropractic is an effective Method to treat TMJ.

We don’t know for certain how many people have TMJ disorders, but some estimates suggest that over 10 million Americans are affected.
The condition appears to be more common in women than men.
CHIROPRACTIC TREATMENT OF TMJ
I use up to 3 different techniques to treat TMJ. Logan Basic, Activator and Diversified. I use each techniques to do different things.
In addition to using Logan Basic and Diversified, I use the Activator tool to adjust 10-15 key areas on the jaw, neck and upper torso. I have found this combination of techniques to very effective.
Many patients have immediate relief.
